Thinking of ... Windmills

Windmills (molen) are of course a typical image when you think of The Netherlands. The windmill in Wassenaar, the Windlust, sits just off the town center. It still mills flour, and is open on Saturdays for tours. A regular feature on this blog, it probably isn't the first thing people think of about Wassenaar, but to us it's a great landmark and defining feature of the town.

...and a lovely composition. I'm also fond of "painting" wintry tree branches over all sorts of images. Works every time. Well, almost.

Oh, what a lovely image and what a great sky behind your windmill!

It's strange to see a windmill so near houses. In France they are always alone on the top of a hill.
